Body

Originally, the LAE analyzes the relationships existing between the development of biodiversity-based cropping systems (including biosolutions), biomass processing (eg composting, anaerobic digestion, food processing) and biomass recycling. One issue lies in coupling LAE's research activities on the characterization of the structure and functioning of microbial communities in soils and plants with the ones on the structure and effects of biomass flows at the local and regional levels. The objective is to design a sustainable biomass management in territories making it possible to jointly achieve the objectives relating to food and non-food production (energy, biomolecules, biomaterials) and to the ecosystem services regarding supply of nutrients, green and blue water and climate regulation via carbon storage.
